So cool, is that a 72 Ford Ranchero? ...or 73....? ...I like this first car with the circle shaped tail-lights, but what is it? I was thinking a Rivera, maybe Tornado...then Skylark comes to mind....please do tell Max!
Lisa - We were headed down to Lake Powell, via 100 miles of dirt road down the old Burr Trail. . Karen - Not sure what year the Ranchero is, but the car in the foreground is an AMC Matador.
The old burr trail. Don't think I've ever been down that one, although I've been to Lake Powell a hundred times at least (just not in well over a decade).
Actually, we were on the Notom Trail, which goes down Waterpocket Fold between Capitol Reef and Bullfrog. The Burr Trail connects into it about halfway down. Click on the link to see the map: Waterpocket Fold.

Wow, my mother even owned a Matador, but it was very different from that...I think she had like a 77 or something like that! Nice photo anyway!
